YUMMY AND WORST PINOY STREET FOOD

Ugali na nating mga pinoy na kumain ng Pinoy Street Food lalo na kapag pagod galing School or Work. Mukha ngang lang talagang marumi kasi all of us are witness na expose ang mga ito sa alikabok...Well that's fine. Masarap din naman talaga..Aminin natin na hindi talaga natatangihan ang sarap ng amoy ng mga pagkaing kalye......HERE ARE THE LIST!

MY FAVORITES....

SQUIDBALLS, FISHBALLS and HOTDOG should be dip in hot chilli sweet sauce..Yummy!!!

KWEK-KWEK should have Spicy vinegar, Salt and Cucumber...2 - 3 pcs lang busog nako...

STREET PORK BARBEQUE....yummy! but nothing beats the home made barbeque..Clean and safe pa...

FRIED CHICKEN SKIN I just love the taste of fried chicken skin...I dont care with cholesterol.

Old time favorite BANANAQUE. Who can say NO to this?... "Maghanap ka ng puno sa buong Pilipinas, Saging lang ang may Puso".

BOILED SWEETCORN Specially when the "Manong" generously spread margarine on it.Then sprinkle w/ iodized salt...But if you ask for more salt the manong will say "May asin na yan" Sabay tago ng Iodized salt...hehe.

But you know what, kahit na mahilig ako sa street food, may mga pagkaing kalye pa rin akong hindi kinakain. Nakakadiri naman kasi ang itsura. Sabi nila proudly Pinoy and "onli in da Pelepens"................... BUT IM NOT REALLY PROUD OF IT!!!...YUUCKS!...Check this out.....

 

BALOT / DUCKS FETUS/EMBRYO or Whatever  foreign name of it....Taste is really good but look what you can see inside...Disgusting! 

FRIED 1 DAY OLD CHICKS. Are you really sure you wanna eat that helpless chicken?! Hindi man lang nabigyan ng chance to shine..hehehe!..or to become a valid fried grown chicken...VALID talaga?! hehehe.

"HELMET" or CHICKEN HEAD BARBEQUE....Nope! Im not gonna eat Head with Brain, Eyes, Toungue in it...

"ISAW" / CHICKEN INTESTINE. It should be thrown away after we slaughtered the chicken. But bcoz of Pinoys wild imagination, it turns out as a delicious chicken intestine barbeque...Pero sometimes may pooh2x pa ng manok na naiwan sa loob.....Saraaap!..hahaha..

"ADIDAS" / CHICKEN FEET... My sister's favorite...she just love it..I dont know why...Wala naman siyang nakakaing laman sa paa ng manok...Ang tawag sa pangit ang hand written is "KINAHIG NG MANOK"....hehehe!

"BETAMAX" / CHICKEN BLOOD BARBEQUE...The most worst street food ever....I am scared with blood...I dont even look at my own blood...then kakainin pa kaya?! Yuucks dugo!...hehehehe..

SAMALAMIG / PINOY COLD DRINKS...Itsura palang unhealthy na! Artifical color and flavors...Tapos hindi nauubos yong lamang Jelly and Sago at titimplahan nalang ulit kinabukasan...Bongga! Tipid?!

HAPPY BIRTHDY TO ME!

ITS MY BRITHDAY....and usually every birthday ko I really buy cake for my self. Nakasanayan ko na. Parang pamahiin ko na dapat may cake ako kapag birthday. And kahit sino naman. Right?! Kasi I feel that it symbolizes color and sweetness of life..ETCHOZ!  (May ganun pa akong nalalaman) hehe! Hindi lang ako, kahit birthday pa ng sister ko, pamangkin, friends and relative basta kasama mo ako sa birthday mo dapat meron ka talagang cake. Hindi naman kailangang bongga at mamahalin. Kahit na simple lang at mumurahin pwede na basta ang importante may pang pa swerte. hehe! Yup...Swerte naman talaga. Kasi I notice na every time I wanna eat cake eh meron akong pambili right away! hahaha...At siguradong may cake ako every birthday....Para siyang pansit na dapat hindi mawawala every Birthday and NewYear kasi pang pahaba ng buhay. Sa akin naman cake para pampa bongga for the whole year..hehehe!...Kakaloka! kung ano-anong pumapasok sa isip ko. But  "Its not my fault, It's my brains fault"...hehehe!

Anyway the issue is not about the cake...It's about buying it for my self on my birthday..I am living away from loveones kaya walang mag eeffort na bumili ng cake for me. Kaya I am doing it for my self nalang. Ang dali namang bumili kasi  nagkalat naman ang Goldilocks sa buong pilipinas. Kaso nakaka stress pala ang bumili ng cake kapag birthday mo!

Nong birthday ko last year I went to Goldilocks Costal branch in Parañaque.

Me: (Pumili ng standard ready made na Chocolate cake) Pabili nga nito!

Crew: (After mabayaran) Sir ano pong note ang ilalagay.Pakisulat nalang po dito sa papel!

Me: (Sinulat "HAPPY BIRTDAY TO ME") Heto na kuya!

Crew: (Ang lakas ng boses) Ay! BIRTHDAY MO PALA SIR?!!!!Happy Birthday!!!

Me: (Blussh ang Eksena) Siyempre kuya wag mo ng ipagsigawan!

Crew: Bakit ikaw ang nagbili ng cake mo sir?

Me: Type ko eh...Sige bilihan moko!

Crew: (Tumawa lang)

At dahil sa lakas ng boses ni kuya narining na ng ibang niyang kasamahan na birthday ko on that day. Nagkataon pang ako palang ang customer on that moment dahil kakabukas palang ng store kaya the attentions are all on me...I got the attentionn talaga ang eksena!!!?.. Well I just "SMILE" and said YES It is my birthday today!...Nakaka touch on that time kasi all of them greet me. Even the guard. It's was really nice to hear greetings them. From people you dont know and they are saying that on your face...Wow! I feel embarassed but emotional. Embarassed kasi aminin na natin nahihiya talaga tayong malaman ng iba na birthday mo!

By the way, bakit nga ba tayo nahihiyang malaman ng iba na birthday natin?!.. Well, that is another story... Baka natatakot na merong magpapalibre tapos wala ka palang pera on your birthday?!..hehehe!..For some maybe yes! but for me, nahihiya akong malaman na birthday ko kasi I dont want to be ask if How old I am....I really hate that question because I dont want them to realize that I am old though pero wala pa akong bonggang achievements. hehehe!... Really!... So please dont ask me that question....I just answer that during job interviews kasi I dont have a choice but to tell the truth and nothing but the truth...hehehe!

Anyway, Last birthday ko, May 27, this year. I went to Goldilocks in Ayala avenue sa baba ng MRT station...Again to buy birthday cake for my self...

Me: ( Pumili ng standard ready made cake Cheese, Ube flavor) Miss ito sa akin!

Crew: (After mabayaran sabay abot ng papel) Sir pakisulat nalang po ng note!

Me: (Siyempre naalala ko yong eksena lastyears birthday ko na bumili ako ng cake na nilagyan ko ng "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME"... so hindi ko na inulit. I proudly put my name on it "HAPPY BIRTHDAY VENZ"  Bongga!..Sabagay hindi naman nila alam na ako si Venz! idedeny ko kapag itatanong nila!...hehe! I thought lusot nako)             

Crew: Sir ilang taon na po ba si Venz?

Me: Why?

Crew: Para po sa kandila!

Me: (What the Fuck!) Uhmmm! 18 years old na siya!

Crew: (Naghanap ng kandila ng hugis 18 wala siyang kamalay-malay na ako pala si Venz!)

Me: (Shit! Baka lagyan niya ng kandila na hugis 18. Napaka unrealistic naman ng cake ko kapag nilagyan ng kandila na hugis 18 eh hindi naman talaga ako 18 years old!) Aah! Miss wag mo ng lagyan ng kandila na 18. Isang kandila lang pwede na! Basta makapagblow lang...(Paak! Lusot)

Crew: Ok sir! Babae po ba si Venz or lalaki?!

Me: (Bakit may ganun pa!?) Lalaki...Bakit?

Crew: Sa color po ng kandila PINK ba or BLUE?

Me: (Sarcastic) Meron ba kayong BLACK?! hehehe!

Crew: Wala eh!

Me: LAVANDER! (My favorite color)

Crew: (Naghanap) Wala rin po!

Me: Sige BLUE nalang!

Speaking of colors, I dont understand why until now people still thinking that BLUE is for boys and PINK is for girls..Kapag lalaki kailangan ba talagang BLUE and PINK kapag babae?!..Again it's another story... But in my opinion it's really nice and cute for a guy to have pink as their color and it's elegant for girls to have Blue as their color for dress! I promise.... But what about for gays?!...Well, rainbow color is always be the best! hahahaha!

AT THE END OF THE DAY...

My Birthday is always ordinary. Very quiet and simple. This year May 27, 2011 parang wala lang! Wake up in the morning, go to work,  Celebration at the office. (Birthday Blowout for all who are MAY Month birthday). I bought my favorite Strawberry Frafuccino from Starbucks, Eat, Watch movie w/ a friend. (In the name of love) Aga Muchlac and Angel Locsin, very nice Movie...Buy and blow cake..then Pray and sleep...

That's  it!... But no matter what, I always feel that I am special on my Birthday...

DISCRIMINATION SA PHONE!

As a callcenter agent its normal talaga for us or for me na makarecieve ng mga calls from irate customers. But it really doesnt mean that it is the end of your career. hahaha! Because even there are some irate callers, most of them naman are nice and professional and some are even glad to found out that they are talking w/ agents from the Philippines. I just keep in my mind that the customers are upset because of the services and not because of me personally. Hehehe! But of all my irate callers this is the scenario that I cannot forget. I really feel discrimated...DISCRIMINATED TALAGA!!???hehehehe!

ME: (Enthusiastic as I can) Thank you for calling ( ____ ) This is Venz, How may I help you today?!!

CALLER:   (An old woman) Oh thank God! Finally I reached you...I just hung up the phone twice w/ the two agents from the Philippines! You know what? I really dont want to speak w/ agents from the philippines because they cannot understand me and I am having a hard time understanding their accent!

ME: (Flattered kasi di nahalata ang pinoy accent ko) Ooh! I see! But how may I help?

CALLER: Its been a problem since last month! but until now I am still  receiving calls from your ____ department that I need to pay my ____!  I thought that the Filipino agent I spoke last month put my loan under _____because I lost my job blah blah blah! 

ME: Im so sorry to hear that maam.  But let me check your record! May I have your acct # pls.

CALLER: (Keep on etchozing) You know what! I dont understand why American companies put their business in the Philippines. Filipino agents dont undesrtand what I am saying... I made my ____ here in the U.S but I am dealing w/ people from the other side of the world! Its ridiculous!!!WHAT ABOUT YOU? WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

ME: (Worried kasi call is recorded and I cannot lie na I am from the Philippines din! baka ma upset si Madamme hehehe!) Uuhhmm! Actually We are located here in the Philippines too. (Biglang) May I have your account # pls. (Para maiba ang topic)

CALLER: (Naku! Na irate nga) Oh my!!! Thats what Im saying I really dont want to speak w/ agents from the Philippines!!! You dont speak good english! 

ME: (Ngeek!)  But you understand what I am saying right!!??So let me help you w/ this. What is your acct #!

CALLER: Nope! nope! You cannot help me! I will call my attorney and file complain about _____ bank why they are putting their business the Phillippines blah blah blah!

ME: (Pinatulan na ang caller hahaha!) Maam! Maam! You may go ahead and file a complain but I can tell you, you cannot stop american company to put their business here in the Philippines! all customer service are located here in the Philippines.

CALLER: What?!! Can I get your complete name and your ID #!!!

ME: Yup this is Venz!

CALLER: Your complete name and Employee # or whatever!

ME: Im not gonna give that to you!

CALLER: Where is your supervisor!!!

ME: (Lying) Maam! you will also be speaking w/ a Filipino supervisor!

CALLER: Transfer me now!

ME: Ok pls hold! MUTE MUTE MUTE HOLD for 5 mins..(Deadma lang di tumawag ng supervisor)

ME: (Nagsinungaling) Maam there is no available supervisor at this time just call us back tommorow!

CALLER: (Lalong na irate) I said transfer me to your supervisor NOW!!!

ME: MUTE @%!&@*()*)*(_*_^&%##

At the end I transfer the call to the American supervisor!!!!!...hehehe! Pasalamat si Madam na recorded ang call or else awardin ko siya....



I AM VJ PASCUAL

Hi guys this is Vj Pascual. Not my real name and I am one of the people who does not want to talk about age. I just dont want to reveal the real me kasi you know, just incase na may mag rereklamo sa mga bloggs ko atleast mahihirapan muna silang mahanap ako. hehehe!..Anyway I love telling stories talaga noon pa. Kaya lang selected lang napapagkwentuhan ko kasi I really choose people. Sorry ha!.I can tell everything that I like and I dont like. Mapa good or bad real personal stories ko. Kaya lang sa sobrang tahimik ko eh hindi halatang makwento talaga ako... Its nice to lie sometimes pero kakaiba talaga ang magkwento ng totoo kasi you put emotions on it  nakakapagod nga lang magsalita. Thats why I realize na isusulat ko nalang so people would know my emotions w/out talking to much.       
This gonna gonna be my first time to write a blogg and share my personal stories in public. But I hope hindi ako magkaroon ng haters na mumurahin ako. Kakatakot yon. Parang artista lang na minumura sa internet!  hahaha! Anyway before anything else I just want to tell you something about myself muna...Ok lang?! Anyway, whether you like it or not isuslat ko talaga siya. hehe! I am Vj Pascual not my real name as I mention a while ago. VJ kasi its my dream to become a VJ,  one who intruduce artist and songs on TV parang DJ kung sa Radyo. hehe! ambitious but it's true. Gusto ko talaga ng work that requires a lot of talking and all about music. Infact I auditioned as a DJ in 101.1 My only radio for life at ABS-CBN kaso after they record my voice when I introduce the song of MaryJ Blidge na Family affair and reading the commercial of KNORR sinigang sa sampalok in both english and tagalog, they realize that I am not for radio Diskjock kaya they never call me after... In short CHAKA! hahaha! Hindi ko na talaga inulit promise! Mabuti nalang may CallCenter na kaya I am now working in a job that still requires a lot of talking. In english pa! Bongga pa rin. Kaya you now know how I love my job so much...hehehe! By the way kaya Pascual ang last name ko kasi I really admire Piolo Pascual. Kasi siya na ang may looks, fame and fortune and w/ good personality pa. Free ang mangarap kaya I grab his last name while his hot! hehehe!

I love beach. Samal Island in Davao is the best for me so far. But I also want to experience Boracay someday. I love to cook. Filipino food is the best for me. Kaso foreigners said that it is the worst food in the world. Huh?! I dont believed so. Sabi kasi nila pinoy food is unhealthy, maybe they are right kasi naman BABOY con BABOY talaga! fats kung fats! Whatever! Ang importante I love it. Dati I love night life pero not anymore. Kadiri na. Feeling ko kasi pang High school or College student lang yon. I dont drink and smoke din naman. One time, I had officemate ask me to go w/ her outside the office so she can smoke. She ask me if I smoke sabi ko I dont. Sabi niya try ko kasi it helps to cope stress. Whaat?! I ask her "WHY? DO I LOOK STRESS?"  She laugh out loud w/ mouth wide open. When I saw her teeth its yellowbrown w/ greenish color because of smoke! Parang decaying teeth na! yucks! I immediately say I will NEVER EVER SMOKE! she ask me why? sabi ko "basta lang" pero sa isip ko "I will never ever smoke kasi SMOKING IS DANGEROUS TO MY TEETH"  hahaha!...Ang arte arteh pa niya! hahahaha!...Sorry ha! May kaplastikan talaga ako sa mga taong umeepal. Kahit diko type ang kaepalan ng tao I am still look happy talking w/ them. Nagcocontrol lang naman ako so I cannot hurt feelings. I beleive kasi na kahit gaano ka epal ang tao eh still need to be respected. But I am absolutley real to my close friends and relatives. But w/ the people not my close or strangers, I really clam up! I just keep quiet. Some people say na may sarili akong mundo. Huh!? Walang akong sariling mundo! Hindi lang siguro kita type kasama kaya mas gusto kong mag isa nalang sa lahat ng bagay na gagawin ko. hahaha! Pero may mga friends din naman akong gustong-gusto ko talaga na tipong kahit saan man sila eh hahanapin ko para makasama at makausap. Ganito lang talaga ako. Sabi nga ni Lady Gaga "I WAS BORN THIS WAY".
